1:00 p.m. - Demolition Derby (Grandstand)

5:00 p.m. - Exhibits may be picked up

5:00 p.m. - All agricultural buildings to be closed

lennox agricultural society emergency plan

Purpose

To protect the community and surrounding areas of pending situation. 

Stages:

Assessment:

  • Do not panic
  • Assess the hazards and risks; determine if the situation is an emergency. 
  • When in doubt, treat as an emergency. 
  • Begin first aid if qualified.


Notifications:

  • Stay calm
  • Call 911
  • Send a bystander, if cell phone is not available. 
  • Notify other members of the situation so they can be prepared. 


Secure Area:

  • Evacuate all humans and animals if necessary.
  • Keep crowd a safe distance back from area. 
  • Do not let the crowd block emergency vehicle access. 
  • Don't be a hero. 
  • Do not allow anyone in the emergency area including yourself except qualified emergency personnel. 


Co-Operation:

  • Tell paramedics, fireman or OPP any details they wish to know. 
  • Have first fair member that responded to emergency report his/her finding to authorities. 
  • Help the emergency personnel when asked to do so i.e. crowd control. 


Do not intervene with Emergency personnel procedure.

Safety is everyone's concern

Prevention is a great safety tool.

If you see something that is unsafe or has the potential of being unsafe, please advise a safety committee member so we can make it safe!
